2 Days before High School restarts.
Finally, I'm on the track of completing my work, which I should have started completing a month ago. But anyway, I'm not gonna rant about my due school work. I'm gonna talk about HOW my school works. Popularity wise.
Well, this should be FUN.
Popularity is not much of a big deal to me really. I'm not popular and I'm not beaten up for it. Only the desperate ones are the people who go running around to be popular.
Being popular isn't even HARD in my school. Apparently, you just need to have guts and have pretty hair and face. Some people get popular just by talking to someone popular of the opposite gender. That's right. Talking to someone of the opposite gender. Though, if someone gets caught doing that, they can be sent to the supervisor. I guess. I don't care, so I don't really know either. The reason this happens is because, our school does not happen to be a co-ed school. Boys and girls learning the same school, but in different classes with different timings. So, talking to the opposite sex would kinda be thought as brave.
Other methods include, doing something "gutsy" and being sent to the supervisor's office, being *fake* friends with some popular student, becoming a "fun" (i.e. rude) member of the student council. The rules of popularity are just the same as anywhere else, only here, it's much more easier and BETTER. There's no jamming into lockers or being beaten up here because, A. The metallic, solid being of lockers (or what people call "Our Home away from Home") does not happen to exist in our schools. AT ALL. And B. I think beating up someone will probably get the person expelled.
The point is, studying and graduating out of high school with "flying colors" to become doctors and engineers is FAR more important than being noticed by students in the school hallways.
My school is weird.
Whatever.
